How Our Network Works
Talk to a local provider
Who will you actually talk to?
Good question. You will talk with an independent local provider in our network. That is a business that installs windows or siding in your area.
Fieldsdead Windows & Siding is the connector. We do not have staff on your job, and we do not send crews. The provider handles the conversation and the work.
What happens when you connect?
First, you share a few details about your home and project. Next, a provider in our network reaches out. Many providers can respond quickly, though availability varies.
On the first talk, expect simple questions. How many windows? What type of siding? What problems are you seeing? Some providers then schedule a visit to measure and look things over.
What should you ask a provider?
Ask the porch question: would I feel comfortable with this person working on my house? Then try these:
- Are you licensed and insured in my state? Can I see proof?
- Will you give me a written estimate with materials listed?
- What energy efficient windows or siding options fit my home?
- How do you handle weather delays and old frame walls?
- What does the provider's warranty cover, and for how long?
- What upkeep should I do after the job is finished?
That last one matters. A good fix lasts longer with simple habits, like cleaning tracks, checking seals, and rinsing siding.
Are you in control?
Yes, always. You can ask for more than one estimate. You can say no to any provider. You can take days to think. There is no obligation.
Be cautious if anyone pushes you to sign on the spot. A solid quote will still be solid tomorrow.
What if the price seems high or low?
Costs vary a lot by home, materials, and job size. Typical U.S. ranges are wide. The only number that counts is the one in a written quote. Compare a few side by side.
